With National Trust owned Penbryn Beach, Aberporth and the very popular Llangrannog nearby, Gwynfryn is within easy reach of many of the beautiful Cardigan Bay beaches whose coastline and beautiful countryside plays host to a multitude of wildlife, offers spectacular views and interesting walks. Many beaches have the coveted European Blue Flag and Green Coast awards ensuring high standards.

Visitors might spot some of the 130 resident bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoise, grey seals and, in autumn might observe the rare Atlantic Grey Seals which pup on a local beach. See red kites hovering above hedgerows, which turn a spectacular yellow in early summer when the laburnum trees, wild natives to this particular area of Wales, flower.

The small town of Cardigan has diverse shopping and leisure facilities. The Theatre Mwldan with live theatre and music performances plus a small cinema appeals to all tastes, or visit one of the many local auctions or car boot sales and find your bargain.

A little further north the beautiful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron hosts displays of Cardigan Bay's rich diversity of marine life and a chance to taste locally produced honey ice cream. A visit to the New Quay Honey Farm will reveal how the honey is produced.

For something a little different the the Museum of Fire and Power, the Wild West All Terrain Centre, the Teifi Valley Narrow Gauge Railway and the dry ski and toboggan slope (at Llangrannog) and the are just a short drive away.

In the evening choose to eat in one of the many exellent public houses within a very short distance (sit beside the sea and watch the gorgeous sunset whilst you eat) or visit one of the local restaurants offering a choice of local produce or the delights of true Italian cuisine at the Ristoranti Toscana in nearby Aberporth.
