Our breakfasts are all about choice, quality and quantity. Food is cooked freshly to order in whatever quantities you can eat - just say if you can manage a double helping! Alternatively, if the "full English" is not to your taste, talk to us about alternatives.

Location

We are situated half a mile north of Macclesfield, set well back from the road behind tall trees on the A538 in Tytherington.

Owner's Description

Facilities are provided for tea, coffee, horlicks and drinking chocolate, with fresh milk always available from the dining room. Wifi is available at £5 for the duration of your stay. All rooms are very strictly non-smoking.

We only have one single room, downstairs, decorated in yellow. Please note that we also offer our double and twin rooms for single occupancy at a cost only £5 more than the single, an option which many of our guests prefer.

All our rooms have a small en-suite shower room, remote control colour television, thermostatically controlled radiator and an outward dialling telephone with very reasonably priced telephone calls.

Things You Need To Know

Guests are requested to check in between 4pm and 9pm on their day of arrival and to leave by 10.30am on their day of departure.

Earlier check-in times are normally possible by prior arrangement.

Check-in times after 10pm cannot be accommodated.

Moorhayes is very strictly a non-smoking building. Any guest found to have smoked in their room may be asked to pay an extra charge of up to £50 for deep cleaning and will be asked to leave.

From Knutsford
On approaching Macclesfield, follow signs for Stockport round a series of roundabouts. Watch out for a left turn for the A538, Tytherington (left filter lane at traffic lights part way down a hill). We are half a mile up on the left.

From Buxton or Leek
Turn right onto the Silk Road, then left onto the A537 at the Tesco roundabout, then right for the A538 at traffic lights (half way up the hill). We are half a mile up on the left.

From Congleton
On approaching Macclesfield, drive straight across traffic lights at the Flowerpot pub on the A536, then follow signs for Stockport round a series of roundabouts. Watch out for a left turn for the A538, Tytherington (left filter lane at traffic lights part way down a hill). We are half a mile up on the left.

We are about a mile from Macclesfield railway station (taxi rank outside the station).
We are also about a mile from the bus station, and there is a bus stop near Moorhayes (number 10).
