The Manor the ideal place to relax and unwind. As a quiet rural retreat we do not take children under five or dogs in the house, so a peacefull break is gaurenteed.

Location

Gwern Borter is surrounded by the forests, rivers, mountains and lakes of Snowdonia. It lies at the foot of the Talyfan mountain between the award winning village of Rowen (1 mile) and the medieval walled town of Conwy (3 miles) with it's magnificent Edwardian castle, picturesque harbour and sandy beaches.


Our facilities include horse riding (beginners to expert), gymnasium and sauna, games room, children's' play area and pets' corner and our pond with ducks and geese plus a variety of day to day activities.


We are also within reach of the many attractions of beautiful North Wales.

Historic castles and beautiful stately homes, slate and copper mines, golfcourses, fishing, boat trips, walking, climbing and mountaineering,
Celtic hill forts, druid circles, druid burial chambers will be found on local mountain walks from the Manor.

Buzzards fly over head and Welsh mountain ponies wander freely only a mile from the Manor.

Owner's Description

Gwern Borter is set in ten acres of landscaped grounds with ornamental, organic kitchen and medicinal herb gardens and spinney. We take pride in retaining the Manor's 'Olde Worlde' charm. Our beautifully appointed period rooms include a Victorian 'four poster' bedroom and a double with its own snug. Our oak entrance hall and staircase has an intriguing collection of original oils and limited editions.

Having spent much of our lives at a busy city pace, our aim was to create a perfect rural retreat. We offer the warmest welcome, personal service and a hearty choice of breakfasts.

Things You Need To Know

As a holiday centre most of our customers want either a weeks holiday or a short break in the main season, so we cannot take 1 night bookings well in advance in the Summer months, but once again phone last minute we often have 1 night between 2 short breaks.

At Gwern Borter Country Manor & Holiday Farm, there are a range of tariffs and special offers available throughout the different seasons.

Bookings can be made by phone, fax, or online, with a CC number( 2% surcharge) no charge on debit card. Phone is still the only way to get instant availability and conformation. Minimum booking for weekends is 2 nights and for peak season is 2 nights but for less please give us a ring you may slot in between short breaks.

B+B per room per night. 5% discount on subsequent nights.

Family room available. Children sharing with 2 adults are charged for food and service only. Minimum charge £8.00 Single occupancy available.
