The guest House is situated in a quiet residential area away from the busy main road yet is still only a short walk to Lake Windermere and is the ideal location for your short break in the Lake District and for exploring the world of Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth.

Within a short walk there are many restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. We have some favourites that we can advise you about when you arrive.

Owner's Description

All of our 8 rooms are en-suite, are appointed with many creature comforts, and are regularly decorated and refurbished to compliment your stay.
All have a LCD TV with DVD, beverage tray, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer and radio alarm clock.
All the bathrooms have the latest Megaflow shower technology, ensuring you have a real power shower.

There are two premier double rooms on the sunny front side of the house. One has a four poster bed, the other a kingsize.
We have two double rooms on the second floor one with a shower, the other with a bath.
Our flexible family room can accommodate a family of 2 adults and 2 children and can also be used as an adult triple, double or twin bedded room.
We have a twin bedded room and for the single travellers we have 2 single bedded rooms.

Our guests lounge has local information, a varied selection of books, and a TV which we trust will add to your comfort. We also have off road parking and give you a fully NON SMOKING environment in which to enjoy your stay.

We aim to offer a breakfast menu that you will remember and which reflects our commitment to using fresh locally sourced produce. We want to tempt you with a full English breakfast that uses award winning Cumberland sausages, locally cured bacon, and free-range eggs. There is also croissant, smoked salmon with scrambled egg and bagels, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and a range of teas and coffee. During the summer there is our fresh fruit platter to choose from.

We can cater for vegetarians and by prior arrangement, those with special diet.

We are a non smoking establishment, we do not accept pets, and all our accommodation is on 1st & 2nd floors.

Check in/out: As we are essentially a 2 person operation and have other taskings during the day, we would ask guests to check between 4 & 6pm. Check out is by 10am. Additional charges will be levied for late check out.

Premiere doubles & singles £45.00 for 1 night, £42.00 for 2 nights, £40.00 for 3 nights or more
Double rooms & twin £41.00 for 1 night, £38.00 for 2 nights, £36.00 for 3 nights or more.

For Bank Holidays, please add £2.00pp to the 2 night stay rate.

One night stays will only be let at our discretion. Minimum stay requirements apply at Public holidays and other times of year. Please ring us for details.
