Things You'll Love
What makes a good bed and breakfast? We think the clue is in the title, a good nights sleep and a good breakfast. We have an on going programme of improvements which include new beds, handmade Organic cotton bedlinen, super hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows in a quiet cool environment. You will be encouraged to chill out and repair your soul. If this means staying in bed until 2.00 pm then no problem, (though of course we won't be making the bed up with you in it) we can arrange spa treatments for you and encourage the use of natural therapies to help you unwind.
You can even sleep in our domed Nomadic tent during the summer months if you would like to. Hopefully this will be available this year.
What makes us truly unique is the range of courses we offer to make your stay more interesting, no chance of being bored here!
Modern living has removed the sense of satisfaction gained and so badly needed by society to bolster self worth and happiness
Rest through learning something new is a great way to repair the stress damage of everyday life, and give back self belief and independent thought.
We believe that life skills are an important and sadly neglected essential part of life, the ability to catch your own food, prepare it and cook it. To be able to make your own yarns and clothing satisfies a creative need if not these days a practical one.
If you want to do a little light work in our garden, no problem, if you want to learn to cook some of the delicious recipes we offer in our evening meals, we can do that too.
Sue is a fully qualified, licensed and insured Advanced Fly Fishing Instructor, we have chosen to live and work in this particular area because of the beautiful scenery and variety of fishing available to both beginners and experienced fishermen alike.
Visit www.damselflyfishing.co.uk for full details of courses available.
Sue is also a world renowned Wool spinning and textile tutor. Having broken 2 world records for fine spun wool. There are monthly group workshops to participate in, or if you prefer to take advantage of one to one lessons by the hour whilst staying with us we can do that too.
For details of courses and subjects covered please go to Handspun Exotics
As time goes by we will be bringing in expert tutors in a variety of art and textile subjects so that we can truly become a centre of excellence.
Visit our chill out centre and repair your damaged soul.
