Location

Formerly the Dunskey Golf Hotel, the Dunskey Guest House is an ideal base for your holiday in Portpatrick. It sits in its own private grounds overlooking the picturesque village of Portpatrick in the south west of Scotland. Just a couple of minutes walk away, you will find the harbour and the seafront, various craft shops, friendly pubs and a great choice of restaurants.

For those of you who enjoy outdoor activities, Dunskey Guest House is ideal for golfing holidays as we are only 50 yards away from Portpatrick Golf Club, and we can offer concessionary rates at 6 local golf courses. We have a key-pad locked storage room should you wish to store golf clubs, bicycles or wet & dirty clothes!

All of our 9 letting rooms are spacious and decorated to a high standard.

We are able to offer double, family and single occupancy rooms -
2 family rooms, 4 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms and 1 Single Bedroom.

Each room is centrally-heated, with en-suite facilities, tea/coffee making equipment, hairdryer, radio alarm clock and DVD player.

Travelling to the area could not be easier, with miles of beautiful countryside to admire, and traffic jams almost unheard of.

BY FERRY - From Ireland, travel on the unique Stena HSS Voyager from Belfast direct to Stranraer. Alternatively, P & O operate from Larne to Cairnryan, 3 miles north of Stranraer.

BY RAIL - Trains from Glasgow and London terminate at Stranraer, where they connect with the Irish Sea ferries.

BY AIR - Prestwick International Airport is the nearest, with train links to Stranraer.

For visitors without a car, we can arrange transport between Stranraer and Portpatrick.

BY ROAD - From the south, travel along the A75 Euro Route following the Solway Firth from Dumfries through the beautiful Galloway countryside.
From Central Scotland, travel south-west on the A77 along the stunning Ayrshire coast.
From Stranraer, follow the A77 to Portpatrick, 8 miles, and turn right at the War Memorial as you enter the town.
