Lorien House is located in the centre of the village and offers great views over the famous Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. Fort Augustus is in the heart of the Highlands, making Lorien House an ideal base to spend a few days exploring. With its numerous shops, bars and restaurants, Fort Augustus offers something for everyone.

Home from Home

All our rooms are tastefully decorated with solid pine furniture and comfy beds. We have been rated as a 'very good' three star B&B by the Scottish Tourist Board.

We are also featured in the Lonely Planet Guides to both Scotland and Britain. Their review says 'Lorien House is a cut above your usual B&B. The bathrooms here come with bidets and the breakfasts with smoked salmon, and there's a library of walking, cycling and climbing guides in the lounge!'

We have double bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities (one of our ensuites has a bath as well as a separate shower) and all offering fabulous views over the Caledonian Canal towards Loch Ness.

One of our doubles is on the ground floor making it ideal for those who find stairs tricky.

We also have a twin room with views across the village to the Corrieyairick Pass. This room has it's own large, private shower room with toilet, wash hand basin and bidet.

Our rooms are all equipped with colour TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers. All our rooms are centrally heated and can be controlled individually, so your room temperature can be as warm or as cool as you wish.

Our bathrooms and shower rooms come with high quality, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries by Scottish Fine Soaps.
