We also have a good range of maps, guides and brochures for you to plan your days out and get the most out of the time you spend in the highlands!
We would be delighted to help you plan your trips and we can recommend the best places to visit and we have a Guest Recommendation book where our previous guests have detailed their favourite places to visit and also local bars and restaurants where they have enjoyed a great meal and perhaps a dram or two!
Location
Avalon is an excellent place to base yourself whatever your interests might be. There is so much to see and do in the area including stunning castles, historic places of interest, a choice of superb golf courses, fishing, walking or cycling through some of the best natural scenery in the world, skiing at two of Scotland's main slopes and an exciting calendar full of special events such as Highland Games and Military Tattoo.
For those of you who are partial to retail therapy Inverness City Centre has a wide range from small souvenir shops to the large retail chain shops and of course the Eastgate Shopping Centre.
Happy Tours provide a guided walking tour of Inverness three times daily and covers such landmarks as Inverness Castle and Cathedral.
Owner's Description
We have 6 guest rooms available including double, twin, king and super king size rooms. Our guest rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything you'll need for your stay. Five of our rooms have bright and fresh en suite shower rooms and one has its very own private shower room facilities. Our en suites in our larger rooms have just been refurbished with a contemporary style and spacious modern showers. All have fluffy white towels and complimentary toiletries. Bathrobes & slippers are available on request as well as various other items easily forgotten like toothpaste/brushes, hairspray, combs etc.
We pride ourselves with our cleanliness and attention to detail. Each room has a Flat Screen LCD TV with remote control and Freeview facility for extra channels (some with DVD), tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer (hair straighteners also available upon request), IPod docking station radio alarm clock. We have wireless internet access if you have a wireless enabled laptop with you.
We will do our utmost to ensure that you have a pleasant stay and we can provide many little extras like fresh milk for your drinks, fans for those hot days! (Yes, we do have them sometimes!) and extra bedding or electric heaters for when we don't! Iron/Ironing board & trouser press.

Our personally produced Guest Information Folders will provide you with all the information you will need for your stay.
We offer a delicious and hearty breakfast, freshly cooked to order from the varied menu and served in the dining room between 8-9am. Earlier breakfasts are available if you have a days exploring to get under way!
We cater for most dietary requirements and if you need anything in particular please advise us at booking so that we can ensure we can provide you with what you need.
Our breakfasts start with fresh fruit juices, a selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad and yoghurts before getting down to the cooked selection of sausages, bacon, eggs (however you like them), tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and black pudding in any combination you choose. Accompanied by brown or white toast and a freshly brewed cup of tea or fresh ground coffee. we also offer fruit and speciality teas.
Directions
From Fort William & A82
Take the A82 and remain on this road following the signs to Inverness. You will pass through Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit. Continue with Loch Ness on your right and you will shortly reach the outskirts of Inverness. You will go over a bridge crossing the Caledonian Canal then you will see a sports centre on your right. We are approximately a quarter of a mile further along on the right hand side opposite the Cemetery.
From Inverness Airport & A96
When you leave the Airport follow the signs for A96 Aberdeen & Inverness. When you reach the A96 take the 3rd right at the roundabout and follow the sign for Inverness. Continue along the A96 passing Tesco Supermarket on your left. When you reach Raigmore roundabout take the 3rd exit, then merge onto the A9 (signposted Fort William, Ullapool, Wick). At Longman Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William, Inverness). Entering Inverness at Harbour Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William, Town Centre). At Rose Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Dingwall, Ullapool). At Shore Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A82 (signposted Beauly, Dingwall, Fort William). Cross Friars Bridge at Telford Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Kenneth Street - A82 (signposted Fort William). At traffic signals turn right onto the A82 (signposted Fort William) and you will pass the Highland Council building on your left. Travel about a quarter of a mile further along Glenurquhart Road and we are on the left hand side opposite the Cemetery.
From Aviemore & A9
Leave Aviemore and follow the A9 signposted to Inverness. At Longman Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William, Inverness). Entering Inverness at Harbour Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William, Town Centre). At Rose Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Dingwall, Ullapool).
