A very warm welcome awaits you at this traditional spacious farmhouse. Each bedroom having its own private lounge. Ideally located set in the country, yet only 8 miles from Edinburgh City Centre. Set in an elevated position with panoramic views over Edinburgh and beyond.

Wester Cowden is a large detached Georgian house with later Victorian additions, situated within a 2 acre garden with lawn, mature shrubs, seating area and productive walled Victorian kitchen garden. The house is very spacious with superb views across Edinburgh towards the Forth to Fife.

Our aim is to provide friendly attentive service in a relaxing environment.

"We stayed at this lovely B&B for two nights and received exceptionally warm welcome from the owners. The farmhouse has beautiful period rooms and is very spacious. We stayed in a room with four poster bed (fantastic!) and also had a separate bathroom and lounge. The breakfast was tasty and huge! Parking is availlable in the grounds, and there's also a nice garden. Quiet location - ask for detailed directions in advance. The owners were really helpful and friendly and even gave us a lift to the nearby castle. Would definitely recommend - a real find."

"Just returned from this wonderful place with my wife and 2 sons, aged 12 and 10. Our stay was for 3 nights and the accommodation is fantastic, down to all the small details. There is a LOT of room for everybody. It's not often you find a genuine family room with plenty of space but this place has it, courtesy of our massive bedroom and separate (private) sitting room. You really do get a lot for your money. Decoration of all rooms is very stylish with antique furniture abounding. (The bathroom is 'to die for'!) A warm, friendly welcome awaits with a tray of tea and biscuits on arrival.The breakfast is subliminal! Although the local area is undergoing major redevelopment and the owners are understandably worried about the effect this may have on their business, you can rest assured the development of the surrounding area with new housing will not effect the charm of this rural, idylic setting and the superb views overlooking Edinburgh. Thoroughly recomended!"
