Opportunities exist for walking, climbing, cycling, mountain-biking, pot-holing, pony trekking, gliding, hand-gliding, together with the full range of water sports in the reservoirs and rivers of the area. The magical and tranquil lake of Llangorse (the largest natural lake in Wales) lies three miles to the west. The river Wye is only three miles to the east at Glassbury while the river Usk lies six miles to the west at Brecon.
Location
Set within the Brecon Beacons National Park, the area is renowned for its scenic beauty and is an ideal base for holidays in the Marches, Mid and South Wales.
Situated on the western outskirts of Talgarth, the barn, not so long ago was an overnight resting place for stallions travelling to stud on the Great Western Railway. The railway has now gone but the small market town of Talgarth nestles peacefully in the foot hills of the Black Mountains.
