Owner's Description

Lorne House, locally famous as childhood home of the Rev. W J Awdry, author of Thomas the Tank Engine, is set in the village of Box which offers a great choice of pubs all of which are within walking distance.

As your hosts we have a thorough knowledge of the local area and would be happy to give recommendations and make reservations on your behalf. In addition to the pubs in the village, Corsham is only a couple of miles away with more places to eat and drink and of course Bath is only a short ride away with great public transport links if you're looking for a livelier evening.

Smoking: Lorne House is a non-smoking establishment.
Children: are welcome.
Pets: are not allowed.
Check in time: between 4.00pm and 7.30pm. Arrivals at any other time by arrangement.
Breakfast: between 7.45am and 9.00am.
Room vacation: by 10.30am on the day of departure.
Parking: Plenty of parking is available but is not suitable for commercial vehicles, vans or trailers.
Cancellations: within 7 days of arrival date, we reserve the right to make a charge.

Other Information

In addition to accommodation, we provide a flexible conference facility, suitable for small seminars, training or board room type meetings.
We work with local caterers to provide a lunch of your choice from a casual buffet to a three course dinner. In addition to this we provide fresh teas and coffees throughout the day.

Our business facilities offer all the equipment you would expect to find in any business conference facility. If you require any additional equipment we would be able to hire it in on your behalf.

We would also be happy to discuss corporate rates for any long term accommodation requirements you may have.
